Just a note, I tried 6.2-GE-1 version of gloriouseggroll and it didnt work. If you want to make following steps more easy on you, just skip steps 5-7 and just install whole ubisoft connect via Lutris as mentioned above and in step 3 instead of selecting installer just select the ubisoftconnect exe like in step 7.ĭownload and extract it into ~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d (if the folder doesn't exist there, create it) This way Lutris will use this version for running ubisoft connect. To improve on this you can also download, go to lutris->rightclick on ubisoftconnect->Configure, bottom left check "show advanced options", go to tab runner options, select Wine version -> Custom(set executable below) and then in Custom Wine executable select wine file from /files/bin from the zip you downloaded. However as some pointed out my approach is a bit "complicated" so if you want simple solution just install Lutris, follow this link and click Install. Yes Lutris worked but I had some issues with it like slowdowns of whole app.
When I decided to play some of my ubisoft games, I couldn't find very good guide, just a few posts on reddit which were not detailed or Lutris configuration.
